Bridget Christie:
The Cheese Roll

See why chasing cheese down a hill is better than Niagra Falls in Africa and Ayers Rock in New Zealand. It's not just about chasing cheese though, Charles II's in it too. ‘Brilliant!’ (Leicester Fest).

Do you like cheese? Do you hate Dan Brown, the world renowned novelist? Would you like to see Charles II perform an awkward dance? How about a miniature re-enactment of the famous Gloucestershire cheese rolling competition? If the answer if YES! to any of the above, then this is the show for you!!!

Bridget Christie will give you a real cheese bap to eat, perform stand-up as Dan Brown, and show you how Charles II survived the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Also making an appearance is a lady who likes red things.

You’ll never be able to read The Da Vinci Code or eat cheese with a straight face againn.

A winning comedy stance…deliciously cruel…wonderfully observed inventions”(Chortle)
“A sinister streak” (Bruce Dessau, London Evening Standard)
“A must-see show” **** (Scotsgay)
“Sharp humour, given with wit and style” (Fringe Report)
“Not particularly funny” (Three weeks)

Bridget Christie is a regular on the stand-up circuit. She was a finalist in Funny Women 2004 at the Comedy Store and nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award 2005. She is the chinless face of TV advertisements for Learn Direct and the comedy channel UKG2. As well as stand-up, she has performed as Charles II and Dan Brown at sketch nights and at Robin Ince’s Book Club.

This is Bridget’s debut solo Edinburgh show.
