Ever traced your family… then regretted it? Juliet’s whimsical, kaleidoscopic comedy returns to Edinburgh with a tale that takes her back to her family roots in India. Strange Ears is a show rife with nightmare travelling companions, on-the-road confessions and dark family secrets. Will she ever discover the secret of her hereditary deformed ears?

Smart and funny’ (Scotsman,) Laugh-out-loud funny’ (Chortle).

Juliet went on a quest for answers and instead found a lot of questions:

· How much does our cultural environment shape us?

· Is it PC to take the mickey out of monkeys?

· Do you have a right to cringe if your travelling companion wears a tie-dye sari when she’s from Norfolk? And is it wrong to move to another seat when she suddenly announces she’s psychic?

· And what do you do when a cow eats your sarong?

Strange Ears is a fascinating and poignant tale, packed full of feisty gags
with a killer twist that will put you off genealogy for good.

Juliet has been writing and performing her witty cerebral brand of comedy for over eight years and is a familiar face on the UK comedy circuit. Her highly engaging stage manner means that her skills as an MC are in frequent demand.

Strange Ears is Juliet’s third solo Edinburgh show, following on from the success of last year’s show, MeyerSpace (“a very funny and enjoyable comedian who engages the audience perfectly…funny engaging and delightful to watch” Fresh Air at the Festival) and 2006’s A Life: A Fantasy (“A truly lovely show and one that has resonance” Chortle).

“She dragged us in with her gags only to throw us back when her punchline hit”
