Saturday Boy, a fresh new comedy, is Ruth E. Cockburn’s third play. It examines the dangers of internet networking sites and the flippancy of friendships made in the click of a button.
Gordon, the ‘Saturday Boy’ in question, spends Saturday night learning how not to pull the woman of his dreams.
The evening is set in Gordon's mother’s toilet contemplating unrequited love, Harpic and rohypnol.

RuthEBlue Theatre Company has performed a number of shows since they formed in 2005.
Including ‘
Kitchen’ by Van Badham at The Capitol Theatre Manchester, ‘Why won’t you…?’ By Ruth E. Cockburn at The Court Yard Theatre London and ‘Finding Scooby-Doo’ also by Ruth E. Cockburn at Taurus Fringe Venue, Manchester.

This will be RuthEBlues first time performing at the Edinburgh Fringe.

But Saturday Boy has been performed at various venues so far this year, including two sell out shows at the
‘Frog & bucket’ comedy venue in Manchester and it has also been performed at the ‘Short & Sweet Festival’ in Sydney Australia.

And it is soon to go on a national tour, funded by the rural touring commission to travel round areas of Scotland that wouldn’t normal get theatre or other cultural events. We are looking forward to the range of audiences that we hope to attract.
