Stan is really called Andrew. It's what his dad calls him, "Andrew? Andrew! Stop it Andrew! Stop pulling faces at the cat!" Warm stand-up storytelling with big laughs. "The crowd devour his observations" The Stage "genuinely funny" Chortle

STAN STANLEY

After a year which has so far seen him performing at The Melbourne Comedy Festival, supporting Nina Conti on her UK tour and appearing on ITV2’s Comedy Cuts Stan Stanley now returns to Edinburgh with his solo show ‘Vintage Andrew”. After his hugely successful free show at the Underbelly last year Stan has decided this year he’ll be charging, to see if everyone came last year just because it was free.

“Very funny and clever…a real and unexpected gem” Chortle

In this year’s show Stan will be exploring the hilarious divorce of his parents. During the build up to this split of hate Stan became an attention seeker, at the age of 6 he made himself a pretend microphone out of a cotton reel and a bit of wool, stood on a book for a stage and with his parents looking on, he uttered his first joke. It was shit, but as predictions go it was amazing! (that he would be a comedian not that he would tell shit jokes).

“Smart and shameless the crowd devour his observations on popular culture" The Stage

A prolific writer, Stan has written sketches for radio and television including two series of 'Man Stroke Woman' for BBC 3 (which later transferred to BBC 2), 'Blunder' Channel 4 and 'Parsons and Naylor's Big Pullout section' BBC Radio 4.

"Stan and Deliver! Stan Stanley can shake a crowd with his energetic pace…" The Daily Telegraph

"With timing Accurist would be proud of" Chortle
