From Iron Maiden to Alvin And The Chipmunks, with discussions of topics as seemingly disparate as biker shorts and Mr. T's musical offerings along the way, Hodgson draws these subjects together under the umbrella of popular culture in 1980's England. This constant linking with the outside world proves very valuable indeed, as Hodgson has the potential to lose all but
his friends in the audience. By his own concession he's not a comedian. Instead he's a strange, unique, and kind of brilliant performer who tells jokes and happens to sing a little. He'll win your heart with his honesty, and re-capture a chunk of your memory with his unconventional appearance and outlook.
