Welcome to Rare Birds' programme for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2005. The Holyrood Tavern hosted a mixture of music, drama and comedy shows from lunchtime through to late night. International performers this year were from Australia, USA and Austria and of course plenty of home grown talent. See below for a list of who was on when.

Desperately Seeking Sorrow - Danny Worthington and Johnny Sorrow perform a story that orbits around a mother's dying words to her beloved son: "Find sorrow…"

4.30 to 5.30pm

Dolly - She's dead. So is her boyfriend...but not quite.

5.30 to 6.30pm

Some - comedy sketch show, linked together innovatively via short video clips and the recurrent intervention of a very unwelcome interloper.

6.30 to 7.30pm

Tatlow & Stankus - Comedy duo perform sketches with a delightful mixture of charm and childish spite.

7.30 to 8.30 pm

Forbidden - US performer Tom Papitto presents raw situations involving race, religion, sex and politics...."The strongest thing I've see on stage"

8.30 to 9.30 pm

Wil Hodgson returns to the Holyrood where he was the WINNER: Perrier Comedy Award Best Newcomer 2004. "Skilful comic storyteller" BBC Radio and "Genius" Russell Howard

9.30 to 10.30pm

Radio Blah Blah - Comedian Danny James hosts a LIVE broadcast each evening with the biggest stars of the Fringe, gossip and loads of laughs. "Hilarious!" - Paramount Comedy Channel, "Awesome" - Chortle.co.uk

10.30 to 11.30pm

Tallulah May- Hyperactive! Country Lass Tallulah proves why mad is the new sane, "the most mind-blowing thing to emerge from Somerset since Scrumpy" Weston News.

11.30pm to 12.30am

Pear Shaped - Brian Damage & Krysstal return with their ever-popular music and comedy followed by a line up of guest Fringe comedians. Please note the Tues to Thur Venue information has been updated from the Fringe Programme. Pear Shaped is no longer running at Purple Venues since they have cancelled out of the Festival 2005.
