The first few weeks of the year were spent recovering from the ‘silly season’, doing a few gigs, catching up on some writing projects and learning some new somes (and new instruments!)
Edinburgh Festival: in August 2007 we ran a new venue, the Holyrood Too @ Faith, 207 Cowgate and were generally pleased with how it went - a few sellout shows and some good reviews. For more information go to page 3 of this site and follow the links. Booking for 2008 is almost completed.
Pear Shaped: the Pear Shaped Comedy Cabaret @ Turnmills sadly had its last show on Mon 18 February 2008 since the building has been sold for offices. We will be looking for new premises to keep the Comedy Cabaret alive. Meanwhile Pear Shaped in Fitzrovia is still going strong each Wed night at 8.30pm, for further information go to www.pearshapedcomedy.com
Brian and Krysstal: are currently in the UK doing comedy, cabaret and music gigs all around the country, (see gigs list). At the end of May they return to the ever popular Run to the Sun Festival in Newquay and will be once more taking shows to the Edinburgh Festival in August. . Their song ‘Hannibal the Cannibal’ was included in The Smith Lectures (Arthur Smith) on Radio 2 last year and they hope to work on some new songs this year. A new CD is overdue and it is hoped will emerge before too long! Follow the links for a list of forthcoming comedy, cabaret or music gigs. Or visit their website for video and audio clips, biog and photos www.briandamage.net
Writing: lots of ongoing projects in the pipeline, sitcoms and other ideas in development with the BBC. Plus we’re working on some children’s stories, radio plays, new songs, sketches and comedy characters.
